Makariya is a small village of 202 hectares in Mandalgarh Tehsil in Bhilwara district, also known as the Textile City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Makariya depends on Mandalgarh, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 58.24% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Makariya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Makariya's pin code is 311604[4], and village code is 02937400. The area of Makariya is segregated as 58.24 hectares irrigated area, 28 hectares unirrigated, the 26 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 57 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Makariya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Makariya is a census village in the district of Bhilwara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 602 and has total administration over 145 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Makariya has 86 children, 37 boys and 49 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 199 (33.06%) males constitute 109 (18.11%) of the population and females 90 (14.95%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 162 (26.91%) males constitute 79 (13.12%) of the population and females 83 (13.79%).

The workforce is 191 male, 76 female with 13 (04.87%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 9 males and 4 females. 8 males and 1 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 1 male and 1 female agricultural labor. 254 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Mandalgarh and Bhilwara to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
