Malera is a small village of 1030 hectares in Deoli Tehsil in Tonk district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Malera depends on Deoli, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Malera is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Malera's pin code is 304507[4], and village code is 02660800. The area of Malera is segregated as 46 hectares irrigated area, 486 hectares unirrigated, the 242 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 256 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Malera has One post office (Maleda B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Malera has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Malera is a census village in the district of Tonk, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2093 and has total administration over 440 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Malera has 317 children, 168 boys and 149 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 181 (8.65%) males constitute 83 (3.97%) of the population and females 98 (4.68%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 257 (12.28%) males constitute 137 (6.55%) of the population and females 120 (5.73%).

The workforce is 590 male, 573 female with 857 (73.69%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 480 males and 377 females. 328 males and 292 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 58 male and 77 female agricultural labor. 306 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Deoli and Tonk to sell earthen pot and make their living.
