Mandpi is a small village of 250 hectares in Phulera (Hq.Sambhar) Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mandpi depends on Sambhar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 37.19% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Mandpi is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Mandpi's pin code is 303348[4], and village code is 01505400. The area of Mandpi is segregated as 37.19 hectares irrigated area, 172.73 hectares unirrigated, the 35.29 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 5.07 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Mandpi has One post office (Srirampura B.O) and One public telephone. Mandpi has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Mandpi is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 650 and has total administration over 134 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Mandpi has 111 children, 57 boys and 54 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 184 (28.31%) males constitute 97 (14.92%) of the population and females 87 (13.38%).

The workforce is 184 male, 183 female with 236 (64.31%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 147 males and 89 females. 95 males and 78 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 42 male and 8 female agricultural labor. 131 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sambhar and Jaipur to sell ghee and make their living.
