Maniyan is a small village of 630 hectares in Dhaulpur Tehsil in Dholpur district, also known as the land of red stone in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Maniyan depends on DHAULPUR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Maniyan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Maniyan's pin code is 328024[3], and village code is 01156500. The area of Maniyan is segregated as 494 hectares irrigated area, 70 hectares unirrigated, the 4 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 62 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Maniyan has One post office (Maniya S.O) and Two Hundred Seven public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Maniyan has One bank and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Maniyan is a census village in the district of Dholpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 13740 and has total administration over 2390 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 2695 (19.61%) males constitute 1390 (10.12%) of the population and females 1305 (9.50%).

The workforce is 3624 male, 957 female with 3338 (72.87%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 3071 males and 267 females. 611 males and 31 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 68 male and 48 female agricultural labor. 1243 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of DHAULPUR and Dholpur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
