Marian Poznański was an artist and a commander during the september campaign in 1939. Locked up in Oflag VII A Murnau. Decorated with the Cross of Valour (Poland). There is a street named after him in Jarocin.[1]
Marian Poznański was born in Jarocin in 1910. He studied at Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts Poznan (1926-1931). He was polish rewarded painter and commander during the september campaign in 1939, he was wounded in the Battle of the Bzura.[2] Locked up in Oflag VII-A Murnau (1939-1945). After war he worked as a sacral painter.[3] Decorated with the Cross of Valour (Poland).[2]
