Marmi is a small village of 919 hectares in Rashmi Tehsil in Chittorgarh district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Marmi depends on Kapasan, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 45.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Marmi is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Marmi's pin code is 312203[4], and village code is 03530100. The area of Marmi is segregated as 172 hectares irrigated area, 347 hectares unirrigated, the 155 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 245 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Marmi has One post office (Marmi B.O) and Fifteen public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Marmi has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Marmi is a census village in the district of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1765 and has total administration over 386 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Marmi has 230 children, 124 boys and 106 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 283 (16.03%) males constitute 143 (8.10%) of the population and females 140 (7.93%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 155 (8.78%) males constitute 75 (4.25%) of the population and females 80 (4.53%).

The workforce is 510 male, 510 female with 590 (57.84%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 320 males and 270 females. 202 males and 234 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 8 male and 6 female agricultural labor. 430 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kapasan and Chittorgarh to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
