Martari is a small village of 334 hectares in Mavli Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Martari depends on Nathdwara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include two taps, one well supply, which is 36.00% of the total supply, one tank, two tubewells, and one handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - two rivers, two canals, and two springs. Martari is also surrounded by two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on handpump. Martari's pin code is 313203[4], and village code is 03056800. The area of Martari is segregated as 52 hectare irrigated area, 52 hectares unirrigated area, the 110 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 120 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Martari has three public telephones. Martari has two banks, two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Martari is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 515 and has total administration over 88 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Martari has 77 children, 29 boys, and 48 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 106 (20.58%) males constitute 53 (10.29%) of the population and females 53 (10.29%).

The workforce is 143 male, 29 female, with 153 (88.95%) of all workers being employed full-time; this includes 129 males and 24 females. 70 males and 21 females are considered as the main cultivators. 19 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Nathdwara and Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
