Masalpur is a small village of 1054 hectares in Karauli Tehsil in Karauli district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Masalpur depends on KARAULI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Masalpur is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Masalpur's pin code is 322242[4], and village code is 01229300. The area of Masalpur is segregated as 43.84 hectares irrigated area, 196.39 hectares unirrigated, the 268.1 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 260.77 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Masalpur has One post office (Masalpur S.O) and Fifty public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Masalpur has One bank and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Masalpur is a census village in the district of Karauli, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4225 and has total administration over 746 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Masalpur has 619 children, 333 boys and 286 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 839 (19.86%) males constitute 451 (10.67%) of the population and females 388 (9.18%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 89 (2.11%) males constitute 54 (1.28%) of the population and females 35 (0.83%).

The workforce is 1142 male, 293 female with 1139 (79.37%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1040 males and 99 females. 254 males and 31 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 31 male and 7 female agricultural labor. 296 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Karauli to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
