Masawata is a small village of 607 hectares in Sapotra Tehsil in Karauli district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Masawata depends on GANGAPUR CITY, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Masawata is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Masawata's pin code is 322203[4], and village code is 01244400. The area of Masawata is segregated as 193.81 hectares irrigated area, 173.93 hectares unirrigated, the 2.58 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 106.8 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Masawata has One post office (Masawata B.O). Masawata has Two banks and One credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Masawata is a census village in the district of Karauli, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1471 and has total administration over 267 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Masawata has 204 children, 115 boys and 89 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 317 (21.55%) males constitute 161 (10.94%) of the population and females 156 (10.61%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 846 (57.51%) males constitute 470 (31.95%) of the population and females 376 (25.56%).

The workforce is 439 male, 339 female with 630 (80.98%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 366 males and 264 females. 296 males and 247 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 32 male and 12 female agricultural labor. 148 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of GANGAPUR CITY and Karauli to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
