Maulinguem North is a small village of 735 hectares in Bicholim Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Maulinguem North depends on BICHOLIM, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Maulinguem North is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Maulinguem North's pin code is 403504[5], and village code is 00009400. They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BICHOLIM and North Goa to sell cashew nut and make their living.
