Mawri is a small village of 1695 hectares in Siwana Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mawri depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 72.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Mawri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Mawri's pin code is 344044[4], and village code is 02163200. The area of Mawri is segregated as 72 hectares irrigated area, 152 hectares unirrigated, the 351.24 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 1120 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Mawri has One post office (Maori B.O) and Six public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Mawri has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Mawri is a census village in the district of Barmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1956 and has total administration over 324 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
- Mawri has 310 children, 159 boys and 151 girls.
- Scheduled caste counts for 530 (27.10%) males constitute 294 (15.03%) of the population and females 236 (12.07%).
- Scheduled tribe counts for 58 (2.97%) males constitute 34 (1.74%) of the population and females 24 (1.23%).

Employment[edit]
According to a census 2011 report, 894 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 536 male, 358 female with 324 (36.24%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 281 males and 43 females. 137 males and 17 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 15 male and 17 female agricultural labor. 570 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BALOTRA and Barmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
