Medak Kalan is a small village of 742 hectares in Raniwara Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Medak Kalan depends on BHINMAL, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 187.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Medak Kalan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Medak Kalan's pin code is 343040[4], and village code is 02341500. The area of Medak Kalan is segregated as 340 hectares irrigated area, 25 hectares unirrigated, the 319 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 58.35 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Medak Kalan is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2016 and has total administration over 340 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

The workforce is 558 male, 392 female with 616 (64.84%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 476 males and 140 females. 310 males and 90 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 88 male and 35 female agricultural labor. 334 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BHINMAL and Jalor to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
