Mehla is a small village of 199 hectares in Atru Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mehla depends on Baran, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Mehla is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Mehla's pin code is 325223[4], and village code is 03891000. The area of Mehla is segregated as 147.44 hectares irrigated area, 15 hectares unirrigated, the 9 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 28 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Mehla has One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Mehla has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Mehla is a census village in the district of Baran, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 171 and has total administration over 27 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 9 (5.26%) males constitute 3 (1.75%) of the population and females 6 (3.51%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 71 (41.52%) males constitute 34 (19.88%) of the population and females 37 (21.64%).

The workforce is 39 male, 34 female with 43 (58.9%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 38 males and 5 females. 26 males are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 12 male and 4 female agricultural labor. 30 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Baran to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
