Mejan is a small village of 1685 hectares in Mandal Tehsil in Bhilwara district, also known as the Textile City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mejan depends on Bhilwara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Mejan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Mejan's pin code is 311403[4], and village code is 02851900. The area of Mejan is segregated as 265.19 hectares irrigated area, 381.84 hectares unirrigated, the 506.48 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 528.75 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Mejan is a census village in the district of Bhilwara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3524 and has total administration over 749 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.
As per the census 2011 report, 1963 people are literate in Mejan out of which 1192 are males and 771 are females.

According to a census 2011 report, 1581 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 965 male, 616 female with 1161 (73.43%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 782 males and 379 females. 296 males and 269 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 15 male and 24 female agricultural labor. 420 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bhilwara to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
