Melyas is a small village of 579 hectares in Mandal Tehsil in Bhilwara district, also known as the Textile City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Melyas depends on Bhilwara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 9.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Melyas is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Melyas's pin code is 311403[4], and village code is 02844400. The area of Melyas is segregated as 49 hectares irrigated area, 36 hectares unirrigated, the 358 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 136 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Melyas is a census village in the district of Bhilwara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 952 and has total administration over 177 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Melyas has 157 children, 82 boys and 75 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 212 (22.27%) males constitute 102 (10.71%) of the population and females 110 (11.55%).

The workforce is 256 male, 236 female with 256 (52.03%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 208 males and 48 females. 73 males and 24 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 11 male and 16 female agricultural labor. 236 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bhilwara to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
