Methodist University

Fayetteville, North Carolina is home to the private Methodist University, which has a long history of ties to the North Carolina Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. It has the seal of approval from the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

On its main campus and via its online portal, the institution provides access to more than eighty different undergraduate, graduate, and even doctorate degree programmes. It provides a total of 24 degree and certificate programmes that may be completed completely online. In addition, there are over 150 student clubs and organisations available at Methodist University, in addition to the 20 intercollegiate sports that are sponsored by the NCAA. Since the institution's first graduating class in 1964, it has conferred diplomas to more than 12,000 students.

The state of North Carolina authorised the institution on November 1st, 1956, while it was still known by its previous name, Methodist College. The Board of Trustees of Methodist College decided, on the occasion of the institution's 50th anniversary, to officially rebrand the school as Methodist University.

The more than 80 academic programmes offered by Methodist University are organised into three distinct colleges: the College of Arts, Humanities & Sciences; the College of Business, Technology & Professional Studies; and the College of Health Sciences & Human Services.
