Mia Pečnik (born September 20, 2000 in Zagreb, Croatia)[1] is a Croatian pianist. She is the recipient of prestigious awards for young musicians in Croatia and many international competitions.
Pečnik received her first piano lessons at the age of eight at the Vatroslav Lisinski Music School in Zagreb.[2] At the age of twelve, she switched to Ivanka Kordić.[3]She had her first performance with an orchestra at the age of eleven and made her debut with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of fifteen, with whom she performed a total of nine times.[3][4] This was followed by further performances in Italy, Spain, Poland, Hungary, Kuwait, Romania, Belgium, Austria, as well as Germany and Carnegie Hall in New York City.[5][6]
Since 2019, Mia Pečnik has been studying at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln with Andreas Frölich.[3]
