Michael Anthony Potter (born October 16, 1959) is an international sports analyst,[1][2][3] author[4][5] and media commentator.[6][7][8] He is the founder and CEO of Michael A. Potter International, MPA Consulting Ltd.,[9] and Michael A Potter Media.[10][11][12][13][5]
Potter was the 2009 Winner of the Global HR Excellence Award in HR Leadership Presented at the World HRD Congress in Mumbai in February 2009.[14][15]
Potter was born in Warrington, United Kingdom.[12][2][3][15] He is a Chartered Fellow of the UK's Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD) and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA).[16][17][18][19][20]
In early 2003, Potter decided to set up Michael A Potter International (MAPI).[10] In 2006, Potter secured a contract with one of the largest organizations in Vietnam, Mai Linh Corporation.[13][21][22]
Potter was a keynote speaker at the 40th IFTDO World Conference in Warsaw, Poland in 2012.[17][6][7][14] In June 2014, Potter launched the first module of his new International Mini Executive MBA Programme with CFAO in Ghana.[23][24][25][26][27][28]
In 2012, he appeared as a Guest of Honour at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Symposium in New Delhi.[5][29][9][30][31]
In November 2016, Potter appeared on Rock FM Ghana to discuss Round 1 of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier results.[32] He returned to Rock FM again in August 2016 for a preview of the English Premier League 2016-2017[33] and in July 2016 to discuss the 2016 UEFA European Championship semi-finals predictions.[34]
In May 2016, Potter was invited to Citi FM Ghana to review the final week of the Barclays Premier League.[35] In June 2019, Potter spoke at the Maiden edition of The Brand Conference Ghana.[36]
Potter is a former Bolton Wanderers F.C. player[20][37] and regular contributor for GTV Sports Plus, TV3, Kwesé Sports, Super Sports, Citi FM. Afri Radio, Joy FM, and the Gambia Radio & Television Service (GRTS).[17][38][37] He appeared Live on these platforms during Global Football Competitions and Finals.[17][6][18][8]
