Michel (miʃɛl), known as Le Vrai Michel, is a French singer and rapper. He was born in Condé-sur-l'Escaut, near Valenciennes.
A young artist influenced by deep house and Russian electro-rap[1], he has released five musical productions since 2018.[2] His most popular song is "Ouais c'est grave," and is a collaboration with French rapper Hatik. It has amassed over 1.5 million views as of September 2023. [3]
Michel has not revealed his full name or age publicly. Michel studied fine arts and was noticed by the record label Loowood in 2019.[4] He signed with Play-Two in 2020, the same record label behind Mc Solaar, and released two mixtapes under the label.
He uses "Michel" as his stage name. He claims he hated his name in his youth but later decided to reclaim it in his career and use it as a strength.[4] He appeared at many music festivals starting in 2019 as well as on social media channels in France such as Konbini, Melty, and Mouv'.
