Middlesex University

In the northwest London borough of Hendon, Middlesex Institution London (officially Middlesex University and abbreviated MDX) is a public research university. Due to its position inside the old county limits of Middlesex, Middlesex University has been given this name.

A woman-only teacher training institution called St Katharine's College was founded in Tottenham in 1878 and served as the university's foundation institute until its dissolution in 1992. After merging with a number of other institutions, the university was formally established in its present form in 1992.. Among the universities founded after 1992 is this one (former polytechnics).

In London alone, Middlesex has approximately 19,000 students, while the university has a worldwide student population of more than 37,000. Students from nearly 100 institutions in 22 countries in Europe, the United States, and other parts of the globe have taken part in exchange programmes with the university. Middlesex's Hendon campus alone has students from more than 140 different countries. Aside from that, it maintains campuses in Malta, Dubai, and Mauritius, as well as a number of regional offices across the world. The Faculty of Science and Technology, the Faculty of Professional and Social Sciences, and the Faculty of the Arts and Creative Industries are responsible for delivering courses on the campus.

The Teaching Excellence Framework recognised it with a Silver rating in 2017. Because of its worldwide activity, the university has been awarded the Queen's Anniversary Prize three times as well as the Queen's Award for Enterprise twice.
