History[edit]

Monsido was founded in 2014, in Copenhagen, Denmark, by Jannik Grøntved, Thomas Christensen, Tim Warberg, and Jacob Riff[1]. In 2016, Monsido opened offices in the United States and Australia. In September 2018, Monsido raised its first investment from Vækstfonden, The Danish Growth Fund[2]. In January 2020, Monsido raised an additional $16.9 million in funding from Vækstfonden and Level Equity, a growth equity firm based in New York and San Francisco[3][4][5][6]. Monsido opened an office in the United Kingdom in 2020.

Services and Products[edit]

The company’s web governance platform consists of modules that identify errors on websites and provide suggestions for improvement. The modules scan for issues across website content quality, web accessibility as per the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, brand and content policies, search engine optimization (SEO), data privacy, and website performance. Monsido also partners and integrates with software provider CommonLook to provide accessibility scans and remediation for PDFs[7].
