Moondri is a small village of 2878 hectares in Jaisalmer Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Moondri depends on JAISALMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, Two canals and Two springs. Moondri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tanker. Moondri's pin code is 345034[4], and village code is 02040800. The area of Moondri is segregated as 234.43 hectares unirrigated, the 235.04 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 2408.24 hectare area not available for cultivation.
