Morana is a small village of 958 hectares in Digod Tehsil in Kota district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Morana depends on MANGROL, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Morana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Morana's pin code is 325204[3], and village code is 03785000. The area of Morana is segregated as 330.92 hectares irrigated area, 155.95 hectares unirrigated, the 108.61 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 192.82 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Morana has One public telephone. Morana has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Morana is a census village in the district of Kota, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 959 and has total administration over 194 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Morana has 135 children, 75 boys and 60 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 57 (5.94%) males constitute 29 (3.02%) of the population and females 28 (2.92%).

The workforce is 268 male, 251 female with 413 (79.58%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 249 males and 164 females. 153 males and 67 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 90 male and 92 female agricultural labor. 106 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of MANGROL and Kota to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
