Mori is a small village of 791 hectares in Gogunda Tehsil in Udaipur district, also called 'the city of lakes' set amidst the Aravalli Ranges in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mori depends on Udaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Mori is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Mori's pin code is 313705[4], and village code is 03079600. The area of Mori is segregated as 50 hectares irrigated area, 138 hectares unirrigated, the 204 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 352 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Mori has One post office and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Mori has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Mori is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1927 and has total administration over 384 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Mori has 325 children, 160 boys and 165 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 202 (10.48%) males constitute 105 (5.45%) of the population and females 97 (5.03%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 697 (36.17%) males constitute 364 (18.89%) of the population and females 333 (17.28%).

The workforce is 551 male, 457 female with 515 (51.09%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 357 males and 158 females. 98 males and 28 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 68 male and 77 female agricultural labor. 493 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
