Mowai is a small village of 660 hectares in Aspur Tehsil in Dungarpur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Mowai depends on Sagwara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Mowai is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Mowai's pin code is 314023[4], and village code is 03322200. The area of Mowai is segregated as 11 hectares irrigated area, 199 hectares unirrigated, the 150 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 300 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Mowai has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Mowai is a census village in the district of Dungarpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1430 and has total administration over 340 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Mowai has 206 children, 97 boys and 109 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 19 (1.33%) males constitute 8 (0.56%) of the population and females 11 (0.77%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 657 (45.94%) males constitute 312 (21.82%) of the population and females 345 (24.13%).

The workforce is 353 male, 224 female with 289 (50.09%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 244 males and 45 females. 34 males and 2 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 14 male and 5 female agricultural labor. 288 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Sagwara and Dungarpur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
