NPO Analytics is a Russian IT-company specializing in the implementation of wireless Wi-Fi analytics and optimization of the effectiveness of omnichannel communications (online and outdoor advertising) for retailers, shopping centers, outlets, and car brands.
The company NPO Analytics was registered on May 21, 2013. In 2014, NPO Analytics completed the second round of investments from a group of European financial investors. Retail Instruments wireless analytics system passively scans for Wi-Fi enabled devices with active Wi-Fi. Special devices (sensors) are installed in stores and/or shopping centers[6]. System does not require devices to connect to sensors and works in a passive monitoring mode only.
When the device is in zones equipped with sensors, the system detects the Wi-Fi signals of the cell phone and collects MAC addresses - unique identifiers of each mobile device – and applies MD5#, so it makes it a non-personal data. Based on this aggregated data, the system determines who entered the location and who was nearby, so it is possible to calculate a window conversion, dwell times, level of returned visits, and many other characteristics. Then the data is presented in the form of configurable dashboards, reports, graphs, tables, etc.
This tool measures the effectiveness of marketing and advertising in general, and also allows to create effective KPI for sales staff[7]. NPO Analytics ranks first in the list of companies in the number of projects implementing wireless Wi-Fi analytics in Russia. The Retail Instruments program for April 2020 accounts for 80.85% of the market share[8]. NPO Analytics appears with leading positions as Data Management System and End-to-end analytics system at Russian Adindex Technology map[9]. NPO Analytics appears at AI Russia Map 2018[10]. NPO Analytics appears at Predictive Analytics 2019 rating[11].
On July 2, 2018, the company registered the first patent RU2659475, on a method for measuring the effectiveness of online advertising campaigns[12].
On December 3, 2019, the NPO Analytics registered the second patent RU2708043, on a method of collecting information offline for analyzing audiences in outdoor advertising and measuring the effectiveness of outdoor advertising. The authors of the patents are the founders of the NPO Analytics: Michael Mogilevsky and Andrey Zhuravlev[13].
