Nagar is a small village of 2909 hectares in Malpura Tehsil in Tonk district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Nagar depends on Malpura, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 4.78% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Nagar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Nagar's pin code is 304502[4], and village code is 02588800. The area of Nagar is segregated as 150.48 hectares irrigated area, 1883.75 hectares unirrigated, the 438.97 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 435.69 hectare area not available for cultivation.
Nagar has One post office (Nagar B.O) and Seventeen public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Nagar has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Nagar is a census village in the district of Tonk, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 5165 and has total administration over 987 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

- Scheduled caste counts for 1265 (24.49%) males constitute 662 (12.82%) of the population and females 603 (11.67%).

According to a census 2011 report, 2630 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1389 male, 1241 female with 2082 (79.16%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1145 males and 937 females. 592 males and 580 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 245 male and 236 female agricultural labor. 548 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Malpura and Tonk to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
