Nagarda is a small village of 1551 hectares in Sheo Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Nagarda depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Nagarda is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Nagarda's pin code is 344701[4], and village code is 02102400. The area of Nagarda is segregated as 1187 hectares unirrigated, the 364 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves).

Nagarda has One post office (Nagarda B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Nagarda has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Nagarda is a census village in the district of Barmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 775 and has total administration over 123 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Nagarda has 144 children, 88 boys and 56 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 258 (33.29%) males constitute 133 (17.16%) of the population and females 125 (16.13%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Barmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
