Nagri is a small village of 461 hectares in Dudu (Hq. Mauzamabad) Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Nagri depends on Kishangarh Renwal, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Nagri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Nagri's pin code is 303008[4], and village code is 01516100. The area of Nagri is segregated as 94.15 hectares irrigated area, 177.1 hectares unirrigated, the 119.4 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 70.13 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Nagri has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Nagri is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 432 and has total administration over 75 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Nagri has 64 children, 31 boys and 33 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 195 (45.14%) males constitute 99 (22.92%) of the population and females 96 (22.22%).

The workforce is 126 male, 126 female with 236 (93.65%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 125 males and 111 females. 60 males and 1 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 23 male and 105 female agricultural labor. 16 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kishangarh Renwal and Jaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
