Nal is a small village of 3434 hectares in Siwana Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Nal depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 243.42% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Nal is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Nal's pin code is 344044[4], and village code is 02158400. The area of Nal is segregated as 405.22 hectares irrigated area, 633.73 hectares unirrigated, the 674.73 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 102.1 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Nal has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Nal is a census village in the district of Barmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2927 and has total administration over 426 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Nal has 561 children, 277 boys and 284 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 211 (7.21%) males constitute 108 (3.69%) of the population and females 103 (3.52%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 367 (12.54%) males constitute 206 (7.04%) of the population and females 161 (5.50%).

The workforce is 779 male, 356 female with 689 (60.7%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 672 males and 17 females. 371 males and 1 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 33 male and 4 female agricultural labor. 446 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BALOTRA and Barmer to sell wood furniture and make their living.
