Nalwai is a small village of 574 hectares in Bari Sadri Tehsil in Chittorgarh district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Nalwai depends on Bari Sadri, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 93.06% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Nalwai is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Nalwai's pin code is 312614[4], and village code is 03699900. The area of Nalwai is segregated as 93.06 hectares irrigated area, 152.44 hectares unirrigated, the 232.45 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 96.12 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Nalwai has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Nalwai is a census village in the district of Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1176 and has total administration over 254 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Nalwai has 185 children, 98 boys and 87 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 7 (0.60%) males constitute 5 (0.43%) of the population and females 2 (0.17%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 24 (2.04%) males constitute 13 (1.11%) of the population and females 11 (0.94%).

The workforce is 348 male, 338 female with 377 (54.96%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 247 males and 130 females. 214 males and 106 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 19 male and 24 female agricultural labor. 309 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bari Sadri and Chittorgarh to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
