Namana is a small village of 2260 hectares in Bundi Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Namana depends on BUNDI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 318.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Namana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Namana's pin code is 323022[3], and village code is 02770100. The area of Namana is segregated as 547 hectares irrigated area, 532 hectares unirrigated, the 124 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 284 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Namana has One post office (Namana S.O) and One Hundred Thirty Five public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Namana has One bank, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Namana is a census village in the district of Bundi, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4876 and has total administration over 915 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Namana has 676 children, 377 boys and 299 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 799 (16.39%) males constitute 436 (8.94%) of the population and females 363 (7.44%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1016 (20.84%) males constitute 540 (11.07%) of the population and females 476 (9.76%).

According to a census 2011 report, 2338 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1445 male, 893 female with 1724 (73.74%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 1203 males and 521 females. 407 males and 279 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 305 male and 161 female agricultural labor. 614 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bundi to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
