Namana is a small village of 403 hectares in Nathdwara Tehsil in Rajsamand district, for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Namana depends on NATHDWARA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 19.69% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Namana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Namana's pin code is 313323[4], and village code is 03042800. The area of Namana is segregated as 179.1 hectares irrigated area, 13.98 hectares unirrigated, the 7.24 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 159.45 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Namana has One post office (Namana B.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Namana has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Namana is a census village in the district of Rajsamand, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1519 and has total administration over 293 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Namana has 216 children, 104 boys and 112 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 67 (4.41%) males constitute 32 (2.11%) of the population and females 35 (2.30%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 339 (22.32%) males constitute 168 (11.06%) of the population and females 171 (11.26%).

The workforce is 443 male, 376 female with 490 (59.83%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 420 males and 70 females. 168 males and 54 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 10 male and 5 female agricultural labor. 329 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of NATHDWARA and Rajsamand to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
