Nandri is a small village of 726 hectares in Sikrai Tehsil in Dausa district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Nandri depends on Bandikui, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 93.08% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Nandri is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Nandri's pin code is 303509[4], and village code is 01379000. The area of Nandri is segregated as 243.2 hectares irrigated area, 360.11 hectares unirrigated, the 77.04 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 37.07 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Nandri has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Nandri is a census village in the district of Dausa, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3358 and has total administration over 685 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Nandri has 505 children, 272 boys and 233 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 491 (14.62%) males constitute 258 (7.68%) of the population and females 233 (6.94%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 2320 (69.09%) males constitute 1238 (36.87%) of the population and females 1082 (32.22%).

The workforce is 862 male, 820 female with 1098 (65.28%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 688 males and 410 females. 529 males and 240 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 40 male and 28 female agricultural labor. 584 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bandikui and Dausa to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
