Nathara is a small village of 5683 hectares in Sarada Tehsil in Udaipur district in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Nathara depends on Salumbar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Nathara is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Nathara's pin code is 313904[4], and village code is 03252200. The area of Nathara is segregated as 66 hectares irrigated area, 388 hectares unirrigated, the 931 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 1723 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Nathara has One post office (Nathara B.O) and One public telephone. Nathara has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Nathara is a census village in the district of Udaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1071 and has total administration over 197 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Nathara has 218 children, 107 boys and 111 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 35 (3.27%) males constitute 14 (1.31%) of the population and females 21 (1.96%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1036 (96.73%) males constitute 493 (46.03%) of the population and females 543 (50.70%).

According to a census 2011 report, 513 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 260 male, 253 female with 123 (23.98%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 101 males and 22 females. 50 males and 5 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 3 male . 390 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Salumbar and Udaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
