Naugaon is a small village of 748 hectares in Gangapur Tehsil in Sawai Madhopur district, also known for Ranthambore National Park in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Naugaon depends on GANGAPUR CITY, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 565.14% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Naugaon is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Naugaon's pin code is 322201[4], and village code is 01268600. The area of Naugaon is segregated as 565.14 hectares irrigated area, 98.39 hectares unirrigated, the 40.16 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 44.54 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Naugaon has One post office (Nogaon B.O) and One public telephone. Naugaon has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Naugaon is a census village in the district of Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4919 and has total administration over 873 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Naugaon has 880 children, 469 boys and 411 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 275 (5.59%) males constitute 141 (2.87%) of the population and females 134 (2.72%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of GANGAPUR CITY and Sawai Madhopur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
