Nawa Gaon is a small village of 975 hectares in Banswara Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Nawa Gaon depends on Banswara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Nawa Gaon is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Nawa Gaon's pin code is 327001[4], and village code is 03447800. The area of Nawa Gaon is segregated as 409 hectares irrigated area, 110 hectares unirrigated, the 42 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 149 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Nawa Gaon has One post office (Navagoan B.O) and Ten public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Nawa Gaon has One bank and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Nawa Gaon is a census village in the district of Banswara, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 3421 and has total administration over 684 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Nawa Gaon has 534 children, 275 boys and 259 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 265 (7.75%) males constitute 143 (4.18%) of the population and females 122 (3.57%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 1974 (57.70%) males constitute 988 (28.88%) of the population and females 986 (28.82%).

The workforce is 956 male, 732 female with 952 (56.4%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 842 males and 110 females. 342 males and 12 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 22 male and 3 female agricultural labor. 736 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banswara to sell bricks and make their living.
