Neejhar is a small village of 356 hectares in Shahpura Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Neejhar depends on Shahpura, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 36.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Neejhar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Neejhar's pin code is 303103[4], and village code is 01468800. The area of Neejhar is segregated as 36 hectares irrigated area, 66 hectares unirrigated, the 152.61 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 70 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Neejhar has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Neejhar is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1114 and has total administration over 166 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Neejhar has 190 children, 101 boys and 89 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 288 (25.85%) males constitute 153 (13.73%) of the population and females 135 (12.12%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 16 (1.44%) males constitute 11 (0.99%) of the population and females 5 (0.45%).

The workforce is 259 male, 172 female with 364 (84.45%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 224 males and 140 females. 83 males and 76 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 1 male and 3 female agricultural labor. 67 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Shahpura and Jaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
