Neemod is a small village of 1435 hectares in Neem-Ka-Thana Tehsil in Sikar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Neemod depends on Neem ka Thana, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 83.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Neemod is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Neemod's pin code is 332713[4], and village code is 01748600. The area of Neemod is segregated as 83 hectares irrigated area, 322 hectares unirrigated, the 163 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 283 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Neemod has One post office (Nimod B.O) and Three public telephones. Neemod has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Neemod is a census village in the district of Sikar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1873 and has total administration over 313 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Neemod has 298 children, 149 boys and 149 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 214 (11.43%) males constitute 123 (6.57%) of the population and females 91 (4.86%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 107 (5.71%) males constitute 53 (2.83%) of the population and females 54 (2.88%).

The workforce is 453 male, 216 female with 466 (69.66%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 413 males and 53 females. 85 males and 27 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 11 male and 5 female agricultural labor. 203 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Neem ka Thana and Sikar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
