Negarh is a small village of 1095 hectares in Hindoli Tehsil in Bundi district, also known as a city of stepwells in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Negarh depends on BUNDI, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 11.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Negarh is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Negarh's pin code is 323024[3], and village code is 02702100. The area of Negarh is segregated as 211 hectares irrigated area, 128 hectares unirrigated, the 428 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 196 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Negarh has One post office (Negharh B.O). Negarh has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Negarh is a census village in the district of Bundi, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1021 and has total administration over 233 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Negarh has 144 children, 78 boys and 66 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 53 (5.19%) males constitute 27 (2.64%) of the population and females 26 (2.55%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 86 (8.42%) males constitute 39 (3.82%) of the population and females 47 (4.60%).

According to a census 2011 report, 587 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 317 male, 270 female with 438 (74.62%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 263 males and 175 females. 201 males and 160 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 6 male and 6 female agricultural labor. 149 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Bundi to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
