Neniya is a small village of 1304 hectares in Parbatsar Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Neniya depends on Parbatsar, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 279.75% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Neniya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Neniya's pin code is 341512[4], and village code is 01870100. The area of Neniya is segregated as 279.75 hectares irrigated area, 940 hectares unirrigated, the 41 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 42.93 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Neniya has One post office (Neniya B.O) and Two public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Neniya has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Neniya is a census village in the district of Nagaur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1848 and has total administration over 321 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Neniya has 277 children, 156 boys and 121 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 735 (39.77%) males constitute 389 (21.05%) of the population and females 346 (18.72%).

The workforce is 547 male, 433 female with 844 (86.12%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 516 males and 328 females. 229 males and 145 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 137 male and 153 female agricultural labor. 136 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Parbatsar and Nagaur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
