Nice S.p.A. is an Italy multinational company based in Oderzo. It manufactures and sells home automation, smart home and security products.
Founded in 1993 in Oderzo, it has now "24 branches in 5 continents, 14 production plants and 13 R&D centers" [1]. It employs 2.300 people. From 2006 to 2019 it was listed on the italian stock exchange (Italian Bourse) on the indexes FTSE Italia Small Cap e FTSE Italia STAR.
The company was started by three founders (Lauro Buoro[2], Michele Falchetta[3] and Oscar Marchetto[4]) with the intent of manufacturing electronic transmitters to automate the gates and garage doors. In 1995 they open the first branch in France.
In the early 2000s, Nice acquired a company specialized in automation systems of shutters and sun-shades. They also create the Mhouse brand to sell to large retailers and within the DIY market.
