Nithara is a small village of 747 hectares in Shahpura Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Nithara depends on Shahpura, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 141.94% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Nithara is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Nithara's pin code is 303103[4], and village code is 01476700. The area of Nithara is segregated as 141.94 hectares irrigated area, 360 hectares unirrigated, the 57 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 84 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Nithara has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Nithara is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2413 and has total administration over 337 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Nithara has 318 children, 175 boys and 143 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 425 (17.61%) males constitute 232 (9.61%) of the population and females 193 (8.0%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 95 (3.94%) males constitute 52 (2.15%) of the population and females 43 (1.78%).

According to a census 2011 report, 992 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 591 male, 401 female with 931 (93.85%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 572 males and 359 females. 362 males and 348 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 14 male and 4 female agricultural labor. 61 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Shahpura and Jaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
