Niyana is a small village of 816 hectares in Antah Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Niyana depends on Antah, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Niyana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Niyana's pin code is 325202[4], and village code is 03868700. The area of Niyana is segregated as 215 hectares irrigated area, 258 hectares unirrigated, the 72.85 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 270 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Niyana has One public telephone. Niyana has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Niyana is a census village in the district of Baran, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 828 and has total administration over 150 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Scheduled caste counts for 148 (17.87%) males constitute 72 (8.70%) of the population and females 76 (9.18%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 81 (9.78%) males constitute 43 (5.19%) of the population and females 38 (4.59%).

The workforce is 225 male, 81 female with 301 (98.37%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 222 males and 79 females. 83 males and 6 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 116 male and 69 female agricultural labor. 5 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Antah and Baran to sell ghee and make their living.
