Normann Copenhagen is a Denmark design company founded in 1999 in Copenhagen, Denmark by Jan Andersen and Poul Madsen. The company designs and manufactures Scandinavian design products in furniture, lighting, textiles, and home accessories categories. Normann Copenhagen is known for creating their products in a sustainable way using environmentally-friendly materials.

The first Normann Copenhagen store was located in Strandboulevarden in Copenhagen, and then later moved to a 1700 m² store in Østerbrogade|Østerbrogade. The brand opened showrooms afterwards in Stockholm, Oslo, and Rotterdam. In 2019, Normann Copenhagen started to expand their reach in Asia Pacific opening its first showroom in Manila|Manila, Philippines and was followed by 2 showrooms in Guangzhou|Guangzhou, China and Hong Kong|Hong Kong. Normann Copenhagen currently has 7 showrooms around the world and products are being sold in more than 80 countries.

Products[edit]

Normann Copenhagen designs and manufactures contemporary home furniture, lamps and accessories inspired by the traditional Scandinavian design|Scandinavian design principles that are simple and minimalistic. Their furniture category offers a selection of chairs, sofas, tables, storage, and stools where they use natural materials including Oceanic by Camira Fabrics that is made from post-consumer recycled plastic discarded in the oceans. In 2015, Normann Copenhagen launched the Form Chair designed by their head designer, Simon Legald. The Form chair has become one of the best-selling piece from Normann Copenhagen up to date.

Normann Copenhagen is also popular for their lamps, from sculptural pendants, classic ceiling lamps, to wall and table lamps. The sculptural self-assembly lampshade Norm 69 was the first product launched under the brand name Normann Copenhagen in 2002.

In 2018, Normann Copenhagen collaborated with Tivoli (Copenhagen)| Tivoli, the world-famous historic amusement park in Copenhagen|Copenhagen, Denmark to introduce a collection of more than 300 design objects within lighting, textiles, tableware, perfume, figures, and home accessories.
