Nosra is a small village of 3665 hectares in Ahore Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Nosra depends on JALOR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 115.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Nosra is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Nosra's pin code is 307029[4], and village code is 02280500. The area of Nosra is segregated as 340 hectares irrigated area, 2617 hectares unirrigated, the 436 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 271.75 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Nosra has One post office (Nosra B.O) and Thirty public telephones. The village is connected with a single bus service. Nosra has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Nosra is a census village in the district of Jalor, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 4148 and has total administration over 800 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Nosra has 648 children, 346 boys and 302 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 959 (23.12%) males constitute 510 (12.30%) of the population and females 449 (10.82%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 442 (10.66%) males constitute 237 (5.71%) of the population and females 205 (4.94%).

According to a census 2011 report, 1981 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 1083 male, 898 female with 920 (46.44%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 622 males and 298 females. 185 males and 56 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 151 male and 171 female agricultural labor. 1061 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Jalor to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
