Odi is a small village of 222 hectares in Dhaulpur Tehsil in Dholpur district, also known as the land of red stone in the State of Rajasthan, India.[1] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Odi depends on DHAULPUR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[2] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Odi is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Odi's pin code is 328001[3], and village code is 01159800. The area of Odi is segregated as 152.85 hectares irrigated area, 8.04 hectares unirrigated, the 51.06 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 10.05 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Odi has One post office (Dholpur H.O) and One public telephone. Odi has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Odi is a census village in the district of Dholpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 680 and has total administration over 114 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Odi has 140 children, 70 boys and 70 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 223 (32.79%) males constitute 115 (16.91%) of the population and females 108 (15.88%).

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of DHAULPUR and Dholpur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
