Origin Films is a Video Production company headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.[1] It is best known for producing content for commercials, TV, and films. Origin Films was founded in 2017 by Pouya Mirzaei & Danny Bui with the aim to create innovative content and revolutionize mass media. Origin Films, since its foundation, has gained recognition for its behind-the-scenes content on Instagram.[2]

Within three years, Origin Films has successfully completed over 200 projects for several clients including the industry giants, Samsung, Doritos, Black+Decker, and Remax, to name a few. The company has built an Instagram following of over 100 thousand followers and was also selected as One of the Best Video Production Agencies by Clutch.[3]

Origin Films has been featured in several media outlets including NBC, CBS, Fox News, ABC, USA Today, Daily Herald, and others.

Origin Films was established by two best friends, Pouya Mirzaei and Danny Bui, who grew up together with a deep-rooted interest in films. In 2017, they created Origin Films, a company wholly dedicated to producing innovative content with a fresh perspective and offering impactful outcomes to clients. Bui has over a decade’s experience in directing, production, and editing and Mirzaei is an avid filmmaker who also excels in producing & marketing.[4][5]

Since its inception, Origin Films has created video content for commercial broadcasts, online advertising, corporate, real estate, events, and film & T.V., producing over 200+ projects. The highlighting feature of this company is that it offers customized solutions to the customers abiding by their requests.

Soon after gaining recognition in the market, Origin Films launched its sister firm called Origin Weddings that offers wedding videography, photography, photo-booth & live streaming services. The company also hosts a podcast called Filmmakers Uncut on all major streaming platforms, where it features guest appearances of renowned filmmakers & photographers to help the listeners learn more about the industry and how they can become successful. Some of the guests that have been on Origin Films’ podcast are Kris Belman, known for award-Winning Lebron James Documentary & making commercials with Ed Sheeran & burger king; David Wain, director & co-writer of Wanderlust, starting Jennifer Anniston & Paul Rudd; and Gerry Blakesley, a Netflix director & cinematographer to name a few.
