Osav is a small village of 1019 hectares in Pirawa Tehsil in Jhalawar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Osav depends on Pirawa, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 177.03% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Osav is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Osav's pin code is 326513[4], and village code is 04104800. The area of Osav is segregated as 230.06 hectares irrigated area, 444.1 hectares unirrigated, the 300.02 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 44.86 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Osav is a census village in the district of Jhalawar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2529 and has total administration over 536 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

According to a census 2011 report, 1376 people of the total population are employed. The workforce is 762 male, 614 female with 1243 (90.33%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 701 males and 542 females. 410 males and 285 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 259 male and 244 female agricultural labor. 133 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pirawa and Jhalawar to sell ghee and make their living.
