Pada is a small village of 429 hectares in Rajgarh Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Pada depends on RAJGARH, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 86.02% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Pada is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Pada's pin code is 301408[4], and village code is 00913900. The area of Pada is segregated as 144.42 hectares irrigated area, 142.88 hectares unirrigated, the 31.1 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 41.3 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Pada has One post office (Pada B.O) and Two public telephones. Pada has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

The village has an uninterrupted 24 hours electric supply from a power grid.

Demographics[edit]

Pada is a census village in the district of Alwar, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2072 and has total administration over 320 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

  • Pada has 358 children, 193 boys and 165 girls.
  • Scheduled caste counts for 439 (21.19%) males constitute 241 (11.63%) of the population and females 198 (9.56%).
  • Scheduled tribe counts for 919 (44.35%) males constitute 475 (22.92%) of the population and females 444 (21.43%).

The workforce is 543 male, 513 female with 485 (45.93%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 454 males and 31 females. 246 males and 12 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 9 male and 2 female agricultural labor. 571 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of RAJGARH and Alwar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
